Strategic Pricing Specialist

The Strategic Pricing Specialist will develop and manage pricing strategies to optimize profitability, utilizing market intelligence and collaborating with stakeholders to implement initiatives that enhance competitive pricing.

Responsibilities
Develop, differentiate, and manage pricing strategies and methodologies for existing products, new technology and acquired businesses
Maintain, update, and improve the pricing model, quality and structure applied in the price management system. Align with relevant strategies of Epiroc
Fundamentally understand and make use of product features and metrics affecting value creation using qualitative and quantitative approaches
Initiate and follow up on strategic pricing improvement projects and campaigns
Work with key stakeholders to follow competitor prices related to strategic pricing projects and implement strategic initiatives
Take responsibility for pricing initiatives and lead projects that are counted as strategic moves by the company (e.g. Dynamic Pricing, Trading risks, improved value-based pricing material and selling arguments)
Track, audit and review existing and new regional/global pricing agreements and price lists, apply a global perspective to align and harmonize price levels across regions and customers
Analyze and monitor return on planned strategic initiatives related to customer segments, product offerings, cost and market trends
Define/build marketing tools and dashboards to analyze financial impact of pricing strategy in terms of overall history and profitability on product & customer segments
Follow the strategic initiatives in line with Global Pricing Manager`s KPIs
Collaborate and openly share business requirements and information with relevant internal stakeholders
Assure to have transparent and continuous dialogue specifically within the pricing team functions
Qualification
Required
University degree in relevant field, e.g., Business, Economics or Engineering, is highly preferred or acquired similar competence through experience in lieu of degree may be considered
Minimum of 3 years' experience developing / managing pricing strategies and methodologies for existing products, new technology and/or acquired businesses
Advanced proficiency in MS Office is required, with a special emphasis on MS Excel – handling and analyzing large data sets and communicating fact-based analyses and proposals in reports and presentations to management is an expectation
Previous experience working with pricing is required
Preferred
Problem-solving skills and project management are desirable
Experience with value-based price setting is desirable
Mining, Heavy Equipment or Construction experience is desirable
