Responsibilities
Performing inspection on incoming product using Receiving Inspection Instructions
Providing specialty in the inspection of high criticality parts
Utilizing various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to determine the acceptability of parts and materials
Understanding and using measurement equipment (Smartscopes) for the measurement of incoming material
Performing First Article inspections as needed
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications, using knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Assisting in the inspection techniques and methods to aid with the implementation of RIIs or tool inspections
Completing required paperwork for routing acceptable parts to stock
Segregating nonconforming materials and accepted materials accordingly
Completing documents in a legible, detailed, and comprehensive manner
Monitoring the preservation of Receiving Inspection inventory
Communicate with supply chain and engineering on quality issues
Assist Quality Engineers with follow up on the execution of NCMR, CAPA(Corrective Action and Preventive Action) investigations as needed
Identifies workmanship and material defects and initiates nonconforming material reports (NCMR's)
Assisting with projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a quality inspection role
Must be familiar with Quality principles
High school diploma or GED
Preferred
Medical Device RI experience preferred
IPC-A-610 certification preferred
