Responsibilities

Work exclusively with government clients

Actively participate in engagement planning and designing engagement-specific government audit approach

Perform and lead audit procedures in complex financial statement audits and Federal Single Audits

Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues, based on professional guidance including U.S. GAAP

Research accounting treatment and propose solutions, consulting with experienced staff as necessary

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Active CPA license or plans to pursue in the short term

Working knowledge of Government Accounting Standards (GASB's)

2+ years of recent experience working with government accounting and government financial statements (fund accounting) internally within a government entity/program, or externally in a public accounting audit capacity

Ability to travel to client sites

Valid drivers license

Preferred

Compliance experience preparing for, performing and/or leading Federal Single Audits

Experience with Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book)

Experience with Governmental Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting/GAAFR (Blue Book)
