Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks within occupied apartment units and common areas
Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs
Complete work orders promptly and efficiently
Conduct preventative maintenance
Assist with the turnover process for vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of pools, common areas, and grounds
Communicate effectively with residents to address maintenance requests and provide updates
Coordinate with property management to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
Collaborate with maintenance teams/vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
Perform other assigned tasks
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license (Required)
HVAC Certification (Required)
Previous experience (1+ years) in apartment maintenance
Currently resides within the Irving, Texas area, or a 20-minute commute
Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and gas water heaters and fireplaces
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Basic computer skills for recording and tracking maintenance activities
Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects, climb stairs, and perform manual labor
Strong work ethic, a positive attitude
