Research Scientist I
Tulane University is seeking a Research Scientist I to enable research programs through collaborative interactions with faculty and students. This entry-level position involves conducting research and potentially managing lab activities while providing training on specialized research equipment.

Required
Technical skills and competencies to maintain research equipment, specifically a confocal microscope, mass spectrometers, and an x-ray photoelectron spectrometer
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills that will enable the successful candidate to train graduate and undergraduate students on the above-mentioned research equipment
Ability to work with instrumentation companies to troubleshoot instruments as needed
Ability to work collaboratively as a positive, contributing member of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to prioritize work, performing assignments with minimal supervision
Terminal Degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M.,etc.): Ph.D
Preferred
Work experience in an academic environment
