Part Time - Linguistics & Music Perception Lab - Research Assistants
Penn State University is seeking part-time research assistants for the Brandywine Linguistics & Music Perception Lab. The role involves conducting psychological experiments, supervising participants, and managing data-related tasks, typically requiring around 10 hours of work per week.

Reading and discussion of relevant scientific literature
Setup and proctoring of psychological experiments and interviews
Supervision of research participants during group sessions
Transcription and coding of audio/video recordings and other data
Development and documentation of research procedures
Administrative tasks (filing, equipment management, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Current Penn State employee or student seeking employment with Penn State
Ability to read and discuss relevant scientific literature
Ability to set up and proctor psychological experiments and interviews
Ability to supervise research participants during group sessions
Ability to transcribe and code audio/video recordings and other data
Ability to develop and document research procedures
Ability to perform administrative tasks (filing, equipment management, etc.)
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
Preferred
Experience with psychology
Experience with experimental design
Experience with quantitative or qualitative data analysis
Experience with languages/linguistics
