Responsibilities

Be part of the team that contributes and implements a comprehensive Destination Development, Community, and Sustainability communications plan and strategy that informs and engages external stakeholders and motivates employees to serve as informed ambassadors
Design and implement stakeholder- and employee-facing messaging for RCG’s senior leaders, brand leaders, initiatives and events, etc
Work closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure content and messaging are built into functional strategies and plans that support our right to operate
Measure the effectiveness of internal and external communications and channels on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to review and amend as appropriate
Stay on top of current and emerging industry trends and make recommendations for changes to communications strategy or messaging
Coordinate communications efforts across multiple channels including social media, websites, etc
Assist SMEs and others within the company to prepare for speaking opportunities or interviews in their region
Develop and maintain a repository of stories, anecdotes and other information throughout the year for inclusion in internal and external channels such as a year-end Sustainability and Community Giving reports
Work with the team to develop compelling written and visual summaries of Sustainability and Community initiatives for both internal and external audiences, including infographics, PPTs and reports
Assist in aligning all communications, including brand communications, with overarching enterprise Sustainability, Community, and Destination Development purpose
In collaboration with topic-specific teams, investor relations, marketing and others, develop, review and edit collateral materials including brochures, presentations, case studies and other content for communication efforts to internal and external stakeholders

Required

5+ years of communications experience in corporate, government and/or brand communications, public relations agency or media outlet
Knowledge and adherence to AP Style
Exhibit a deep interest and experience in environmental, social, governance, sustainability and corporate responsibility
Exhibit a deep interest in community giving, community affairs, or corporate social responsibility
Outstanding writing and editing skills for different formats including announcements, statements, press releases, etc
Excellent interpersonal skills are a must; they must operate with a keen sense of corporate structures and professional settings with an ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Must have situational awareness and executive presence
Ability to manage multiple and constantly changing priorities, and work under pressure
Proactive and takes initiative. The ability to function effectively independently and with full ownership of tasks is essential while understanding the connection as a member of the team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to express complex ideas simply and demonstrated ability to make connections between seemingly unrelated concepts
Proven ability to read, analyze, interpret and translate large sets of data into simple insights or reports
Excellent project management skills and planning and reporting experience, with a proven track record for delivering successful qualitative and quantitative reporting
Must effectively influence without formal authority by partnering across the enterprise to accomplish goals through others without direct authority
Effective presentation skills with fluency in presentation software
Comfortable with competing priorities and managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
Manages projects independently and leads day-to-day client communication and coordination

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field preferred
Experience in Corporate Responsibility is preferred
