Mid LevelSTEM Talent Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer specializing in Industrial Ventilation and HVAC Solutions. This role combines technical engineering skills with client interaction and project leadership, guiding customers through the sales lifecycle from design to installation.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client contact to understand facility requirements and ventilation challenges
Develop tailored system concepts and accurate cost estimates based on customer needs
Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing, and technical presentations
Manage the entire sales process: qualification ? solution development ? contract ? installation handoff
Build strong, lasting customer relationships through consultative, technical selling
Oversee active projects to ensure scope, schedule, and performance expectations are met
Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to align deliverables
Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout execution
Ensure a clean and complete turnover to the service/support team post-installation
Support conceptual and preliminary ventilation system layouts using AutoCAD
Assist in defining system requirements, equipment specifications, and performance parameters
Troubleshoot and optimize systems by identifying inefficiencies or design modifications
Contribute to testing, validation, and continuous improvement efforts for client solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience with industrial systems, HVAC, or mechanical equipment preferred
Proficient in AutoCAD modeling and interpreting engineering drawings
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Capable of thriving both on shop floors and in client facilities—not a desk-only role
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent projects

Experience with industrial systems, HVAC, or mechanical equipment preferred
