Responsibilities
Assessment and Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand data migration requirements. Assess existing data systems and identify potential challenges and opportunities. Develop comprehensive migration plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies
Data Mapping and Transformation: Analyze source and target data structures and values to create detailed data mapping documentation. Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity during migration. Work with stakeholders to validate and refine data transformation rules
Execution and Monitoring: Execute data migration processes according to the established plans and timelines. Monitor and troubleshoot migration activities, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime. Employ an iterative approach to migration that accounts for data and business rule changes throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of migrated data to verify accuracy and completeness. Develop and implement data validation and reconciliation procedures. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure data quality meets defined standards
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, data mappings, and transformation rules. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges
Qualification
Required
At least 10-15 years of Data Migration and Governance Consulting experience at a recognized firm working with multi-national clients
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
In-depth knowledge working with multiple data management, data transformation, data migration, ETL tools. Most importantly Syniti tools. (Others: MDM Informatica, Collibra, Talend, SAP Master Governance MDG, Reltio, SAP BODS)
Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling
Deep Supply Chain experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Direct experience in applying project management and data management best practices to create tactical execution plans for cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex technical subject matter in all formats (email, presentations, Excel based)
This role combines critical thinking, leadership, and functional expertise to drive the success of the Data Readiness service while actively contributing to the customer's success
High emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to build and lead highly effective diverse and multi-cultural teams
Experience with handling multiple data workstreams on a project, for example: data governance, data migration, master data management, data quality
Expertise in driving data workshops, capturing data requirements and connecting with process/functional needs for the program
