STUDENT ASSISTANT- FINANCIAL AID POOL
Del Mar College is seeking a Student Assistant for the Financial Aid department to provide clerical support. The role involves assisting with customer inquiries, managing phone communications, and handling mail and documents within the department.
Responsibilities
Provide quality customer service by assisting with inquiries and answering phones
Answer phones, take messages, transfer calls
Check mail daily, process and distribute mail and other documents within the department
Qualification
Required
Current Del Mar College student in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed, with the exception of summer or has Intent to Attend the following semester when not enrolled
Strong basic computer software skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook
Strong active listening skills, dynamic telephone presence, and good follow up skills
General office skills including answering calls, taking messages, faxing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to complete clerical duties with accuracy and attention to detail
Able to be responsible, accountable, dependable, patient and punctual
Preferred
Basic working knowledge of computers and programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
