QA Test Technician

The QA Test Technician will be responsible for conducting operational tests on cable assemblies and wire harness products, ensuring quality through inspections, data analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Operation of test cycles, plans, and procedures to meet customer requirements
Compare customer drawings against finished assemblies to perform inspections for quality
Set up and operation of various test equipment such as Cirris, Fluke, network analyzer, pull tester and multimeter in accordance with customer test requirements
Collect, record, and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
Summarize findings and report results to relevant stakeholders
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement solutions and prevent recurrence
Recording and maintaining test data
Diagnosing test failures and coordinating repairs with assembly personnel
Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using test fixtures
Building and maintaining fixtures as required
Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality
Provide training, share expertise, best practices, and lessons learned to team members
Documentation control responsibilities, including maintaining work order traveler documentation and product test acceptance records
Promote teamwork mentality, help maintain a clean, friendly, respectful and safe workspace
Other duties as assigned by management

Required

Knowledge electronics test methods, techniques and documentation
Strong technical skills in electrical, mechanical, or other relevant disciplines
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong computer skills MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
Ability to interpret and comprehend mechanical/electrical wiring diagrams
Familiarity with various pieces of test equipment. (Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, Torques Tools)
Ability to follow detailed instructions and friendly disposition is imperative
3-5 years' experience with cable assemblies, wire harnessing and box builds
Experience with resistance, hi-pot, and computerized testing systems
Experience in the use of RF test equipment: multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meter, power supplies, oscilloscopes
Soldering experience and use of crimp/hand tools directly related to cable/harness work

Preferred

Certified to IPC WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 a plus
