The role involves maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel, performing various repair and maintenance tasks, and conducting preventive maintenance inspections.

Responsibilities
Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work, masonry, furnishings and fixtures, wall coverings, window repairs, etc
Conduct inspections and maintain for preventive maintenance needs
Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures, including location of all emergency shut-offs
Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
Maintain the guest room Preventative Maintenance program and consistently keep updated records
Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures, including location of all emergency shut-offs
Qualification
Required
Availability to work all shifts, also must be able to work holidays and weekends
Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Strong understanding of the technologies used and required
React quickly in emergency situations, making sound decisions
Able to lift 50 pounds or more
Able to operate safely & responsibly heavy machinery
Combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant training, or on-the-job training required
Preferred
Degree a plus
Saflok knowledge a plus
Previous hotel engineering experience a plus
