Foreclosure Paralegal

Responsibilities

Thoroughly review and confirm the loan origination documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
Thoroughly review and confirm the data within the MSP system to ensure its accuracy and reliability
Review, download, and confirm the loan documents
Review and complete a QC sheet per loan
Maintaining and organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted in a timely manner
Responding to various emails, providing accurate and timely information, and maintaining client systems with current information regarding the onboarding process
Ensuring all activities adhere to internal policies, state laws, and federal regulations
Reviewing payoff statements, payoff histories, and previous monthly statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies as needed
Escalating any issues as needed and assisting with the training of new paralegal staff

Required

Bachelor's Degree Preferred or Paralegal Certificate
5+ years of default law experience
Strong knowledge of AP foreclosure process
Understanding of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure processes
Previous default industry experience
Analytical document review capabilities
Able to respond appropriately to constructive feedback from management
Self-starter with exceptional ability to identify and solve problems
Ability to recognize changing environments and think analytically
Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills
Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Identifies and solves issues in a timely manner
Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary
Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task
Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action
