Senior District Executive

Connecticut Rivers Council, Scouting America is dedicated to growing Scouting through community engagement and volunteer recruitment. The Senior District Executive is responsible for expanding Scouting into new areas, building partnerships, and delivering impactful programs.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Expand Scouting into new communities and organizations
Recruit and retain youth and adult members
Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer leaders
Build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and civic leaders
Ensure safe, high-quality programs and leader support
Lead fundraising campaigns and build donor relationships
Set long-term growth strategies and celebrate success

Qualification

Professional Scouting experiencePublic speakingVolunteer recruitmentRelationship buildingLeadershipOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree and age 21+
Subscribe to Scout Oath and Law
Evenings/weekends as needed
Valid driver's license and transportation
1–2 weeks paid travel for training
Professional Scouting experience
