Fresh Commissary Sanitation Clerk Part-Time - Anaheim

Northgate Market is seeking a Sanitation Clerk to support the hygiene of their Fresh-cut Produce Commissary. The role involves cleaning production equipment and ensuring compliance with food safety standards while working closely with other department staff.

Responsibilities

Knowledge in usage of sanitation chemicals, environmental contamination, and cleaning and reassembling equipment procedures
Require an understanding of FDA regulations, GMP’s, HACCP, SOP’s and SSOP’ s
Reading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) - how to properly handle chemicals they will be using for plant sanitation
Maintain a strategic sanitation program, policies, plans and processes to ensure that sanitary performance as well as supports Food Safety requirement towards regulatory compliance
Ensure that the plant is cleaned daily and ready to start production on time
Maintain a safe work environment by properly implementing the IIPP (Injury Illness Prevention Programs) – Always raise safety awareness for chemical handling and equipment operation with Tag out Lock out program
Ensure that the company food safety guidelines are implemented daily
Maintain good communication with peers, and other members of management
Completing Sanitation Logs
Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
Promote health and safety in the workplace
Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
Any issues noted like equipment or parts damaged during the daily tasks must be reported to immediate supervisor and/or QA/Production managers
Assist with any production tasks as required. This will include: Washing, processing, weighing and packaging product
Use forklift equipment as needed to complete tasks
Operate machinery in production as needed

Required

Sanitation Workers must be able to control high-pressure hoses, lift heavy containers of chemicals, and empty trash receptacles around production
Sanitation Workers must use their senses to discover possible sanitation or equipment problems
Sanitation workers will perform their duties in a cold wet room environment
Ability to best perform a task, manage their time, use appropriate equipment, and efficiently deal with a problem should one arise
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to calculate dilution rates to obtain specific final PPM concentrations

Preferred

Ability to speak Spanish a plus
