Responsibilities

Assist in basic highway/roadway design calculations, GIS and permitting efforts, and coastal resiliency planning
Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
Participate in traffic analysis and capacity studies for highways/roadways
Participating in project meetings
Collaboration with environmental scientists, utility locates, and surveyors to meet stringent requirements and address maintenance and improvement needs

Required

In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
Completed coursework related to transportation engineering or highway/roadway design
Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
A member of SWE and attendance at SWE25 National Conference in New Orleans, LA

Preferred

3.0 GPA
At least a rising Junior
Experience with engineering calculation software (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably Microstation/OpenRoads/AutoCADD)
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Revit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
