Outside Sales Representative - Connecticut/Long Island Territory

TEK Centers of Excellence is seeking an Outside Sales Representative responsible for promoting and increasing sales in the Connecticut and Long Island territory. The role involves managing key accounts, seeking new opportunities, and executing sales strategies to ensure annual growth targets are met.

Responsibilities

Increase sales and provide support for current customer base within the assigned territory, including key, target, and growth accounts
Actively visit and communicate with companies within assigned territory to promote new growth
Entertain current and potential customers to ensure annual growth
Perform weekly quote follow-ups in support of Sales team efforts
Execute sales plans and strategies developed by the General Manager for new products
Assist in research, identification, and implementation of new products, customers, and programs to enhance annual profitability
Communicate with Inside Sales, Application Engineers, and vendors as needed
Provide call reports and vendor reports to the General Manager daily, as well as a monthly summary report
Timely submission of expense reports and other departmental expenses to the General Manager for approval
Adhere to all TEK’s handbook policies, procedures, and codes of business ethics

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of sales experience
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem solving skills, and time management skills
Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
Ability to effectively multi-task
Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations customers/suppliers
Strong work ethic; self-motivated
Creative, forward thinker
Valid state driver's license

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related area
Four or more years of experience in sales and marketing
