Head of People Operations
Red Envelope Consulting is a growing client in the Life Sciences industry, seeking a Head of People Operations to lead people initiatives and support organizational growth. The role involves developing HR policies, managing compensation and benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Responsibilities
Serve as the organization’s primary HR leader and trusted advisor to both leadership and employees
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Partner with leadership to align HR strategies and initiatives with organizational goals and culture
Lead compensation and benefits administration, including salary structures, pay adjustments, incentive plans, and vendor management
Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive and equitable pay and benefits
Support leaders in hiring decisions, workforce planning, and performance management
Ensure compliance with employment regulations such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and state-specific laws
Maintain accurate HR data, records, and reporting (EEO-1, ACA, etc.) through the HRIS system
Foster positive employee relations, providing coaching and guidance on workplace issues, investigations, and performance improvement
Qualification

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex or sensitive employee matters effectively
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to implementing HR programs and initiatives
Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across departments and adapt to a dynamic, growing environment
Commitment to upholding organizational core values including integrity, teamwork, adaptability, and an employee-centered approach
Proven ability to design and execute people strategies that improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist and leadership roles; experience in a small business or startup environment strongly preferred
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements across multiple states
Hands-on experience managing compensation, benefits, employee relations, and compliance functions
HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
