Research Faculty - Division of Surgical Oncology - (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a nationally recognized basic scientist to join their Pancreatic Cancer Program within the Department of Surgery. The role involves conducting research, mentoring students, and obtaining funding to support research initiatives in pancreatic cancer.

Responsibilities
Conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements and conducts research studies; develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain extramural funding to support research program; obtains and maintains NIH R01 or equivalent funding
Writes and publishes research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attends and makes presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; develops national and international scholarly reputation
Instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives
Qualification
Required
PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field
Established record of research in pancreatic cancer
Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred
Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
Preferred
Active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01) desired
