Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file/print services, and network shares
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure a stable and secure operating environment
Implement and enforce security measures (e.g., patch management, vulnerability remediation, security policies) to maintain system integrity and compliance with organizational standards
Administer virtualization environments using VMware or Hyper-V, ensuring optimal resource allocation and system performance
Oversee and support Exchange Server environments (2016/2019) and hybrid Exchange Online setups, managing mail flow, connectors, retention policies, transport rules, and public folders
Troubleshoot mail delivery and handle anti-spam/anti-malware configurations to ensure secure and reliable communications
Execute migrations and upgrades, such as moving from Exchange to Exchange Online or migrating mailbox data between environments
Manage Microsoft 365 tenant services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory
Administer M365 security tools such as DLP, M365 Defender, Conditional Access, and MFA, to ensure user and data security
Manage user provisioning, license assignments, and access controls via Azure AD/Entra, ensuring proper permissions and compliance
Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate administration tasks, streamline reporting, and improve operational efficiency
Provide leadership and technical direction to a small team of IT professionals, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and standards
Collaborate with other IT teams to support cross-functional projects and ensure smooth system integrations and operations
Mentor junior administrators and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT department
Qualification
Required
8+ years of hands-on experience in a Windows systems administration role, with a strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365
Proven expertise in managing hybrid environments, including on-prem and cloud solutions (Exchange Server, M365, Azure AD)
Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and related technologies, with a focus on security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automating administrative tasks and system management
Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices for enterprise IT infrastructure
Ability to manage complex IT environments and handle critical incidents or system outages effectively
Preferred
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Microsoft certifications such as: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
