Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Mandatory experience with percentage of completion revenue recognition and project cost accounting

Lead and manage general ledger closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries

Support the development and maintenance of effective internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory standards

Collaborate with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews, providing required documentation and explanations

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance accuracy, and improve reporting timeliness

Oversee daily accounting operations and mentor accounting staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

Ensure all tax filings, financial reports, and compliance obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner

Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of accounting software and related systems
