Deputy Editor, Cell Reports
Elsevier is a leading publishing company known for its scientific journals. They are seeking a Deputy Editor for Cell Reports to support the Editor-in-Chief, manage a team of editors, and contribute to journal strategy while engaging with the scientific community.

Responsibilities
Supporting the Editor-in-Chief and manage scientific editors
Contributing to journal strategy and development
Overseeing peer review and editorial decisions
Commissioning and editing Reviews and Perspectives
Building relationships with researchers and institutions
Representing the journal at conferences and events
Improving editorial workflows and author experience
Qualification
Required
Have a PhD in a relevant field of biology
Have at least 5 years of editorial experience
Display exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Able to evaluate a wide range of scientific topics
Have interest in science communication and publishing trends
Are comfortable working independently and in diverse teams
Can travel for conferences and business-based needs, international and domestic
Preferred
Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus
