Environmental Scientist Intern - Summer 2026
Intrepid Potash is an entrepreneurial organization focused on environmentally sound mineral extraction. They are seeking an Environmental Scientist Intern to assist the Environmental Team with compliance activities and various environmental tasks, including monitoring air and water quality and conducting inspections.

Responsibilities
Assist with a variety of environmental tasks, including: air and water quality monitoring, site based environmental compliance inspections, proper control/disposal of hazardous materials, data organization and interpretation, etc
Maintain various records related to permit requirements
Observe all safety and company rules
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Valid Driver's License
High school diploma or GED
Actively pursuing a degree in Environmental Science or related field
Ability to be comfortable in both surface and underground industrial operations (ex: going underground, climbing stairs on surface, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communications required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite PC software
Preferred
One to two years related experience or training preferred
Knowledge of MSHA and/or OSHA regulations is a plus
