Senior LevelWest Virginia University is seeking applications for a full time, tenure-track or clinical-track faculty position in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The role includes didactic and clinical instruction, patient care, and participation in clinical activities and research initiatives.

Didactic and clinical instruction at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels
Patient care
Scholarly activity
Serve as a course director
Supervise students enrolled in the undergraduate DDS program and graduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Participate in clinical activities including intramural private practice
Expansion of the research initiatives in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Continue to grow the already active clinical services at the School of Dentistry and WVU Hospitals
Foster faculty and staff development through continuing education
Qualification
Required
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited US or Canadian Dental School or a foreign equivalent
Eligibility for a West Virginia dental license
Proven record of clinical excellence
Strong communication skills
Team building skills
Willingness to foster faculty and staff development through continuing education
Leadership qualities
Excellent communication skills
Specialty board eligibility or certification
Preferred
Prior academic and/or private practice experience
