Weld Engineer II

Responsibilities
Ability to fabricate and weld parts accurately by interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications to meet quality and dimensional requirements
Experience creating Weld Documentation Procedures such as Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ)
Must be able to lift 35 lbs
Proficient in applying shop math to ensure precision in fabrication and welding tasks
Receive, check, and verify subassemblies needed for work orders and help resolve discrepancies
Fabricate and weld various parts correctly using drawings, work procedures, and specifications
Check and inspect work at in-process and final check points per weld procedures
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Have familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes
Qualification

Bachelor's degree in engineering required
2+ years of experience in precision welding or operating EBW systems
Will consider candidates with welding certification meeting the qualifications above
Preferred
Experience in setting up, programming, and operating electron beam welding machines is wanted
Experience with Pro-Beam Electron Beam Welding systems is a plus
Experience with programming EB welders using Siemens 840D controls is also desired
Experience with AWS D17.1
Experience operating within ISO 9001 or AS9100 compliant quality systems
