Responsibilities

Prepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to work activities

Manage technician staff in a heavy R & D environment in conjunction with design and manufacturing engineering teams

Meet critical program product development milestones related to advanced AUV production

Schedule production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate obstacles and deliver product on time

Coordinate support from other internal resources such as inspection, engineering, and supply chain as needed to meet program deliverables

Provide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance

Set priorities and direct daily operations to include timely issuing and completion of work orders to the Manufacturing floor

Ensure all technicians are following safety procedures and standard work tasks

Be an active participant in 5S and continuous improvement activities

Ability to work on the line and support new operator training as required

Build a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes product knowledge, skills development, and X-training

Show up every day with a high level of urgency and enthusiasm to get the job done

Generate daily pass downs for engineering and operations team

Required

7+ years experience in production-oriented or electro-mechanical technician fields with at least 3+ years in a leadership or supervisor role in a R&D environment

Passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing both new hires and veteran production staff

Forklift and 3A Hoisting experience, certification preferred

Experience working with ERP and MES systems

Can interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, electrical schematics, etc.)

Extremely reliable, organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal & written communication skills

Demonstrated history of solid problem solving skills and decision-making ability

Experience being hands-on and have proven skills in both process and equipment troubleshooting

Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, business, or applied science.)

Experience in sub-sea robotics or AUV industries

Experience with Oracle (ERP), Teamcenter (PLM), Odoo (WMS)
