Responsibilities
Interview client executives and staff to identify high-churn roles, process bottlenecks, and operational inefficiencies suitable for AI automation
Evaluate technical feasibility, ROI potential, and organizational readiness for transformation including change management considerations, process maturity, and data readiness
Translate complex technical solutions into compelling business value narratives for non-technical executives
Guide clients through the Digital Assembly Line framework—from discovery through implementation—ensuring measurable outcomes through orchestrated workflows combining human judgment, AI reasoning, robotic automation, and procedural logic
Design comprehensive Solution Architecture Documents (SADs) using C4 modeling (System Context, Container, Component) that balance business requirements with technical constraints and scalability needs
Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure serverless platforms, AI/ML services, intelligent document processing, and hyperautomation tools optimized for client environments and constraints
Establish architectural patterns, decision records (ADRs), and documentation standards that enable successful handoff to delivery teams while maintaining quality and consistency
Create interactive prototypes using rapid development tools to validate solution concepts with stakeholders before full implementation begins
Maintain consultative involvement throughout project delivery, conducting code reviews, guiding milestone validation, and ensuring architectural integrity from concept through production deployment
Coach junior architects and engineers on translating business requirements into technical designs, facilitating knowledge transfer and building organizational capability
Monitor solution performance post-deployment, identify optimization opportunities, and evolve architectural patterns based on lessons learned
Lead client consultations and requirements discovery sessions
Facilitate Event Storming workshops and technical assessments
Design Solution Architecture Documents (SADs) with comprehensive C4 models
Create interactive UX prototypes to validate solution vision with stakeholders
Prepare Statements of Work (SoWs) with detailed effort estimates and milestone definitions
Oversee post-sales architecture refinement and implementation planning
Conduct code reviews and technical quality assurance throughout development
Guide milestone delivery and validate vertical slices demonstrate business value
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide architectural guidance
Lead production deployment planning and client handoff activities
Monitor solution performance and identify improvement opportunities
Conduct retrospectives to capture lessons learned and evolve best practices
Support client adoption and provide ongoing architectural consultation
Identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships
Qualification
Required
5-10+ years in enterprise technology consulting, solution architecture, forward-deployed engineer, or similar client-facing technical leadership roles
Proven track record of discovering, qualifying, and closing complex technical engagements resulting in successful implementations
Experience designing AI/ML solutions, automation platforms, or data-driven applications for small-to-medium businesses or private equity portfolio companies
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical executives and build trusted advisor relationships
Deep knowledge of Azure cloud services, serverless architectures, modern development practices, and cloud-native design patterns
Experience with C4 modeling, Architecture Decision Records, or similar rigorous documentation standards
Understanding of change management principles and organizational transformation dynamics
Preferred
Background in management consulting, private equity due diligence, or fractional CTO/CIO roles
Microsoft certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent cloud architecture credentials
Experience with PydanticAI, LangChain, or compound agentic AI system design and orchestration
Familiarity with RPA platforms (Power Automate, UiPath), intelligent document processing, or hyperautomation tools
Knowledge of Lean UX, Event Storming, Domain-Driven Design, or systems thinking methodologies
Experience facilitating enterprise workshops, design thinking sessions, or organizational transformation initiatives
Track record of thought leadership through whitepapers, conference presentations, or published case studies
