Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology

They are seeking a postdoctoral teaching fellow in neuroscience and behavioral biology who will be responsible for teaching four courses per year and receive mentoring and professional development for a full-time faculty position.

Responsibilities
Teach four courses per year, including an introductory neuroscience course (Neuroethology) and co-teaching a lab in behavioral neuroscience
Design topic courses in the candidate’s area of expertise for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students
Receive structured mentoring and professional development to prepare for a full-time faculty position
Receive training in inclusive pedagogy
Support research with undergraduate students and grant writing
Engage in the academic, social, and cultural life of Oxford College
Mentor undergraduate research students, collaborate on research projects with existing faculty, and/or conduct independent research
Qualification
Required
A recent Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related discipline
The candidate must have the degree awarded no later than August 2026
Preferred
Candidates who wish to develop inquiry-based teaching strategies and student-centered learning
Candidates who may have already completed a research postdoctoral fellowship
