Responsibilities
Be a strong and dedicated leader who can communicate a clear vision about where the department is heading and how you’re going to get there together
Lead, mentor, develop and challenge a distributed team of experienced Technical Project Managers
Have a workforce plan that maximises the skills of the team, fosters collaboration and encourages diversity
Act as an advocate for diversity and inclusion through the understanding of Bloomberg's values, truly understanding its importance to our business
Act as a point of escalation and build trusted and collaborative relationships with key partners across groups such as Engineering, Data, Enterprise and Core Product
Utilise your experience in the financial industry and understanding of market data and technology to develop strategies to influence and advise the strategic direction of Bloomberg's exchange market data infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Direct or indirect leadership experience (for example leading projects, mentoring people, etc.)
Market data experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
The vision to align your team's goals to the fast-changing landscape of real-time market data, reference data and technology, and the ability to implement a business and people strategy which responds dynamically to the ever-evolving needs of the market
An ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and partners
Comfort with a high degree of autonomy, and demonstrated ability in managing competing priorities
Ability to discuss technical concepts and evaluate trade-offs in solution design with Engineering and other partners
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor communication to the needs of both technical and non-technical partners, including senior management
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to context switch often and effectively and deliver against aggressive targets
Experience analysing workflows and removing organizational barriers to improve cross-team collaboration and efficiency
Preferred
Knowledge of Bloomberg data products and how they translate into the needs of our customers
Professional qualifications in Project Management
Exposure to Agile software development methodologies
