Responsibilities

Work directly with a $3 million grant from the U.S. Forest Service that the City of Sioux Falls received

Assist with program contract administration and compliance

Monitor newly planted trees for health and maintenance needs

Identify new planting sites for ongoing program support

Provide community outreach and education in support of the CommuniTree Assistance Program

Qualification

Required

Students enrolled in a forestry, arboriculture, natural resources management, horticulture, landscape design, or closely related curriculum, as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school

Ability to identify various tree species

Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work a 40-hour flexible schedule that includes potential for nights, weekends, and holidays
