Responsibilities
Lead and oversee mid-market M&A transactions from inception to closing, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and private equity investments
Advise business owners, executives, and investors on complex corporate and securities matters (focusing on industries such as energy, healthcare, real estate, and technology)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm, including bankruptcy, litigation, and real estate attorneys, to provide comprehensive ‘cradle-to-grave’ legal support for clients
Drive business development initiatives, build and maintain client relationships, and mentor junior Attorneys in the Corporate & Securities practice group
Qualification
Required
J.D. degree, admitted to practice law in TX
10+ years of relevant experience in M&A and corporate transactions, preferably in a mid-sized or Big Law firm setting
Demonstrated expertise in middle-market deals ($25M–$150M range), with a track record of handling energy-related or other corporate transactions
Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills, along with a client-focused approach
