Responsibilities

Assist with restoration projects throughout Wisconsin
Work entirely in the field under various weather conditions
Perform invasive species control via herbicide applications, cutting, hauling, mulching, fencing, shoveling, mowing, planting, seeding and plant identification
Apply herbicide safely and effectively
Load, operate, clean and maintain equipment such as herbicide sprayers, GPS units, ATVs, tractors, chainsaws, brushsaws and hand tools
Complete daily work logs accurately
Read and navigate using a map

Required

Working toward or have already obtained a 2 or 4 year degree in a Natural Resources related field
Self-motivated and organized
Ability to work as a team
Ability to work entirely in the field
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
Ability to adapt to schedule changes upon short notice
Ability to apply herbicide safely and effectively
Possessing or having the ability to obtain a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License
Ability to load, operate, clean and maintain equipment such as herbicide sprayers, GPS units, ATVs, tractors, chainsaws, brushsaws and hand tools
Ability to accurately complete daily work logs
Ability to read and navigate using a map
Good physical condition and ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Possess a valid driver's license
Capable of loading and driving trucks with trailers
Authorized to work in the United States
Pre-employment drug screen required
