Responsibilities

Manage high exposure patent litigation matters
Oversee the preparation of witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial
Formulate winning litigation strategies and tactics
Assist in drafting and reviewing briefs, motions, and court pleadings
Manage litigation fees and costs
Coordinate internal document collection and production
Advise management and internal teams on impactful issues
Attend industry conferences to gain insights and network with peers

Required

Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in the State of California or qualify to register as California in-house counsel
8+ years' experience of patent litigation at a law firm and/or as an in-house counsel
Experience leading or managing litigators as a senior associate / junior partner at major law firms and/or litigation boutiques
Broad range of patent litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, arguing dispositive motions, jury/bench trial, arbitration and mediation, investigations before the International Trade Commission, PTAB-related proceedings, and experience before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to formulate successful litigation strategies
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team consisting of members from different regions, countries, and business units, including the ability to be diplomatic and culturally sensitive
Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability
Openness to feedback, actively seeks constructive criticism, and integrates it to continuously improve performance
