Account Manager Aerospace
Bodycote is the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, employing highly skilled staff globally. They are seeking an Account Manager Aerospace to drive business growth by prospecting new opportunities and cultivating strategic relationships with key accounts while leveraging internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities by leveraging market insights and company offerings. Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key accounts and industry influencers. Work to expand existing accounts by identifying new revenue streams and optimizing service offerings
Develop and execute strategic account plans
Execute key account management. Develop multiple customer touchpoints and conduct regular visits to customer sites to build relationships, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Deliver presentations, seminars, and workshops to educate customers about Bodycote’s offerings
Leverage Salesforce.com reporting and dashboards to provide accurate forecasts and timely reporting on sales activities, including pipeline development, new account acquisition, and competitor analysis
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Share insights with the team to ensure Bodycote remains competitive and responsive to customer needs
Travel extensively (greater than 50%) to meet with customers and prospects. Attend industry events and conferences to build networks and enhance the Bodycote brand
Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders
A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sales or business development, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and securing new business
Familiarity with heat treatment processes and the aerospace, automotive, or other relevant industries is a plus
Strong experience in consultative selling, account management, and contract negotiations
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels within client organizations
A bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Comfortable engaging in discussions with clients about technical services
Proven ability to use Salesforce (SFDC) effectively for managing sales pipelines, tracking customer interactions, and leveraging data to drive growth strategies
A valid driver's license and ability to travel greater than 50% of the time
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Demonstrate good judgment in fostering positive customer relationships
Ability to quote pricing, manage expectations for process and delivery
Exercise tact and the ability to partner with the customer to resolve issues
Problem-solving skills to meet customer expectations
Communication skills with employees at all levels to achieve the goal of exceptional customer service
Advocate for the quality of our products and services
At all times, conduct in accordance with Bodycote policies and procedures
Commitment to ethics in all interactions
Must be able to effectively cultivate and develop customers from diverse backgrounds, including small entrepreneurial businesses to large multinational corporations
Ability to work in a professional office setting or industrial environments
Ability to sit, drive, and travel for extended periods
Must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
Ability to lift 25-30 lbs
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc
Ability to hear in person and via phone
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
