Responsibilities
Maintain and cultivate positive customer relationships
Provide price and availability on any standard or specialty item directly to customers
Take and solicit orders from customers over the phone and via e-mail
Process orders, via order entry system, from our stock or directly source from suppliers
Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers
Follow up on orders to ensure critical deliveries
Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customers and suppliers
Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner
Work in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team
Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of product and/or a strong mechanical aptitude is a must
Ability to address concerns and communicate clearly and efficiently
Convey a positive, customer-friendly disposition
Handle and resolve challenging problems
Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
Strong customer service focuses with a passion to exceed customer expectations
High energy, drive, and sense of responsibility
Preferred
Professionally related work experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
