Responsibilities
Responsible for project engineering, automation/mechanization, and production line design and construction
Familiarity with machine shop equipment and able to troubleshoot and understand capabilities and limitations when supporting new business opportunities
Ability to design, draw, and have built tooling to support the business
Visualize and build automated equipment, work with electrical systems, and perform periodic maintenance (PM) as needed
Will be an advocate for Bodycote, interacting with customers, employees, and communities to drive the business goals
Conduct an Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey on behalf of the business
Maintain quality accreditation of the facility by at least one recognized authority
Maintain equipment and facility in an upscale appearance (5S Principle)
Promote and practice timely and accurate communication, verbally and in writing, to employees, customers, and business partners
Must work in a manner consistent with the Environmental Management System
Observe all Environment, Health, and Safety Policy requirements
Keeping the work area neat and orderly at all times
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Coach, train, motivate, and retain a quality-oriented and productive workforce while ensuring execution of business objectives
Disposal of waste per safety standards
Performs other tasks as designated by the position
Ability to travel up to 20%
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism
Qualification
Required
Extensive knowledge of machining tools and capabilities required
The ability to read part prints as well as the ability to draw within CAD or SolidWorks is required
Extensive fabrication experience required
Experience managing capital projects and executing projects to completion is required
Five years' work experience in an industrial environment with practical knowledge of ISO and EHS systems
Demonstrated leadership skills sufficient to coach, mentor, and drive objectives through multi-level employees and functions
Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Must be able to work in a sitting and/or standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc
Ability to hear in person and via phone
