Responsibilities

Performs intermediate instrumentation and controls troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance to all site equipment, systems, process measurement and control, utility, laboratory, and bench-top instrumentation

Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls

Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards

Provides input and recommendation for written instruction of preventive maintenance tasks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Assists in the development of maintenance and calibration procedures and programs

Performs loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

Performs lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities

Mentors’ entry-level technicians

Adheres to all safety requirements and follow safe work practices

Notifies management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found

Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed

Performs spare parts assessments, as required

Other duties, as assigned

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma/GED

2-4 years of I&C or similar experience

Experience with tools and equipment used to perform maintenance work

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems

Effective communication, both written and oral

Ability to work in a team environment

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on-call, and weekends

Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls

Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards

Preferred

Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or a related field

Prior I&C experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated environment

Prior experience working in a GMP environment

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
