Equity Research Associate- Consumer
Wolfe Research, LLC is a premier independent sell-side research firm seeking an Associate to join its NY Based Institutional Investor-ranked Consumer Team. The role involves assisting in modeling, note writing, and research analyses, with responsibilities expanding to client communication and participation in the creative process.

Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to generate ideas: work closely and communicate effectively in a time sensitive environment, ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, client service minded and strong writing skills. The candidate will also work to draft reports/notes on relevant investment themes, events, and breaking news
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills: working with large data sets in Excel/Access, and ability to source and process information independently
Strong communication skills: particularly an ability to write efficiently and concisely
Technical skills: Bloomberg and/or FactSet skills helpful, advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, short cuts), and statistics (regression, variance, covariance, and correlations). Knowing how to build and update financial and valuation models for the companies covered
Use mastery of Excel functions: shortcuts, developing complex logic formulas, mastery of reference formulas, ability to integrate graphics/data tables, formatting, and basic programming

Required

Demonstrated academic ability with a minimum 3.5 GPA
Comfortable working 10+ hour workdays and some weekends
Preferred
Experience in equity research, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or in the industry
2025 December Grad/ 2026 May Grad or 1-2 years of experience in sell-side research on the buy-side, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or industry experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, concentration in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics
Tableau or experience in Python
Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 or expected to be completed within the first 6 months
CPA is a plus
