New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a privately owned full service building material distributor based in White Plains, NY, seeking an Inside Sales Representative for their Long Island City location. The role involves managing customer interactions, processing orders, and supporting the outside sales team, while maintaining strong communication with contractors and customers.

Responsibilities

Working in a fast-paced environment

Preparing quotes for potential customers

Handle and process customer returns

Develop and maintain a working technical knowledge of products sold

Coordinate customer delivery requirements with the dispatcher

Shared responsibility for inventory management and purchasing

You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Technical knowledge of building materialsCustomer service skillsBasic math skillsBi-Lingual (Spanish)Communication skills

Required

Must have a can do, customer service first attitude

Basic math skills

Must have a good memory to be able retain a working technical knowledge on vast amounts of building materials (Roofing, Siding, Decking, Windows/Doors, Waterproofing)

Able to work in a fast-paced environment
