Senior Mechanical Power Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Power Engineer to join their national Power Generation team, focusing on the development and implementation of natural gas and renewable energy generation projects.
Responsibilities
Help clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects
Serve as Engineer of Record or Owner’s Engineer
Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
Monitor and communicate project status
Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects on both a technical and contractual level
Develop construction drawings, bid specifications, mechanical equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
A minimum of 10 years of experience
Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license
Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Preferred
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design
Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise
Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm desired
Minimum 10 years of experience, ideally in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner's engineer projects
Have the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Willing to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs
Proficient at working within an established schedule and budget
Position will include an expectation of less than 10% travel for meetings with clients and vendors as well as project site visits
