The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an LIS Systems Analyst II to provide intermediate analysis and documentation of existing hospital and administrative procedures. The role involves recommending alternative procedures for workflow improvement, maximizing productivity, and controlling costs.

Responsibilities

Plans the study of current departmental systems
Gathers and organizes information on system including present operating procedures
Analyzes data and considers all available solutions, either manual or automated
Organizes and documents study and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems
Conducts operational effectiveness reviews
Conducts preliminary survey of vendor solutions
Adheres to internal controls established for department
Performs related duties as required
