Sr. Automation and Robotics Integration Specialist

Responsibilities
Automate, innovate, and integrate industry leading robotic applications with manufacturing technology team’s solutions for new welding processes supporting product and factory development, the future production system creation, keeping digital thread, lean manufacturing principles, integrated metrology processes top of mind, including technologies to improve production flow while enhancing product performance, space allocation and resource requirements across programs and products
Create solutions in product and production system design to ensure the most cost- and schedule-effective solutions for our factories that meets the needs of our products
Support design, construction, commissioning and start-up of the production systems at new factory sites, ensuring successful delivery of the factory and products off the line
Provide technical feedback on product processes, materials and technologies. Buy down risk to meet production performance and timelines in new facilities
Work hands-on to expedite project completion
Collaborate with product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities and construction, environmental safety & health, and finance to deliver creative and effective production system solutions
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience setting up, integrating, and troubleshooting automated robotic systems to support processes technology development, manufacturing engineering, and/or production/process engineering
Technology development experience in robotics, automation, end effector design, and process improvement
Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, next to operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Preferred
Prior work with engineering partners and/or contractors to build, improve or modify automated production systems
Process improvement, including justification of return on investment for process or operational changes
Application of lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in a production environment
Metallurgical, welding, automation and materials development for manufacturing processes in fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and finishing operations
