Responsibilities

Leading the preparation and review of federal and state corporate income tax returns for accuracy and completeness

Partnering with external service providers to manage compliance deliverables

Mentoring and guiding tax staff

Managing tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities

Driving process improvements and automation within our tax workflows by working with our in-house technology solutions team

Required

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a Corporate Income Tax department or public accounting firm, with the majority of the focus on corporate income tax (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership) with an international emphasis

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred

CPA Certification is a plus

Experience with OneSource, Corptax software, Alteryx, Tableau and Oracle Business Systems – JDE and EBS is a plus

Strong knowledge of federal, state and international tax regulations

A high degree of financial, business, and analytical acumen, inclusive of the ability to effectively communicate and present complex tax and financial data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audiences, helping others understand tax and financial data and to translate it into actionable business insights

Proven ability to think strategically and understand the broader view. Demonstrate an understanding of the long-term, 'big picture' view of needs and opportunities

Thought leadership aided by the ability to connect dots and challenge assumptions

An ability to research tax related statutes, regulations, and court cases
