Responsibilities

Perform engineering field assignments including construction observation, site inspections, performing field measurements (sampling, surveying, as required by technical specialty), and conducting field assessment of materials, constructions, and properties
Coordinate the preparation of data tabulation/evaluation and reports. Assist in coordination of report production, permit applications, and development of engineering designs and specifications. Perform quality control (QC) checks on technical documents
Perform various engineering-related calculations and analyses of information in the application of the basic design criteria necessary to complete assigned projects and tasks
Collaborate with CAD technicians, field technicians, designers, and other team personnel to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Assist the project management team in updating / tracking schedule progress and estimating and tracking project costs
Interact with clients in a professional manner, responding to client questions and requests and escalating to more senior team members when appropriate
Delegate to and lead more junior staff in the execution of engineering assignments
Have a working knowledge of the engineering and CAD standards as well as quality requirements in the engineering design process
Engage a licensed engineer in discipline(s) of interest to accelerate mentorship and learning of engineering practice

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringEngineering calculationsComputer-Assisted Drawing (CAD)Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationMicrosoft Office proficiencyEffective communication skillsOrganizational skillsTeamwork

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) accredited program
Ability to analyze, interpret, and present engineering concepts, designs, and data
Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
Ability to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office® software
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Valid driver's license
Ability to meet requirement to travel as needed for 1 day up to 3 weeks at a time
Ability to function in outdoor location such as active construction and/or remediation site
Ability to walk long distances on varied terrain, climb ladders, and work at elevation
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to receive and deliver detailed information through written and oral communications
Ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced work environment
Special – Employees in hazardous, toxic, and remedial waste (HTRW) and Chemical fields will have ability to meet requirements for functioning while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Preferred

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required
Membership in professional organization suited to specific practice is highly encouraged
