Responsibilities
Build and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage top talent across AI research, applied science, large language model (LLM) engineering, and machine learning infrastructure
Partner with AI leadership and recruiters to understand role scope, required expertise, and team priorities
Conduct market mapping and research to uncover emerging talent, track organizational shifts, and identify new communities of excellence
Partner on employer branding initiatives, representing Datadog’s AI teams at events, conferences, and within professional networks
Stay informed on the latest trends in AI research, recruiting best practices, and sourcing innovations
Use data to measure impact, refine approaches, and continuously improve candidate engagement strategies
Qualification
Required
Have 8+ years of sourcing experience, with a focus on highly technical or research-based roles
Have a deep understanding of AI and ML talent markets, including experience sourcing for roles in LLMs, applied ML, or AI infrastructure
Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution
Are curious, creative, and persistent—you see sourcing as research, not just recruiting
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage senior-level talent with clarity and credibility
Are excited to collaborate across functions and geographies to help Datadog shape its global AI hiring strategy
