Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and launch of custom industrial equipment using AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to align with company strategy
Collaborate with customers, product managers, vendors, and internal teams to define requirements and translate them into robust mechanical solutions
Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications for new parts and assemblies
Prototype and test mechanical systems to ensure safety, durability, and performance
Support field technicians and troubleshoot equipment issues post-launch
Drive value engineering initiatives and manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and integrate them into future product platforms

Qualification

Machine designAutoCAD InventorSolidWorksTolerance analysisFMEADFM principlesPrototypingR&D experienceElectro-mechanical knowledgeProblem-solvingCommunication skillsProject managementOrganizational skills

Required

7+ years of experience in machine design and build, with a portfolio of machines taken to production
Expertise in heavy equipment design, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and DFM principles
Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor and Vault Professional; familiarity with SolidWorks is a plus
Hands-on experience in R&D environments and prototyping
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking to overcome design constraints
Knowledge of firmware, software, and electro-mechanical components is a bonus
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred

Project management experience is a plus
