Responsibilities
Lead all accounting functions: cost accounting, A/R, A/P, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting
Collaborate with CPA for tax planning and compliance
Supervise Bookkeeper and provide backup support when needed
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements
Maintain investment records and perform monthly reconciliations
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks
Administer insurance policies and support government reporting (401k audits, ACA filings, etc.)
Build high-performing teams with strong morale and accountability
Cross-train in office functions and support general administration
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of general ledger management, financial reporting, and budget oversight
Experience with audits, tax preparation, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP)
Proficiency in accounting software and tools (Sage 100 preferable), with advanced knowledge of Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial services
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Leadership experience
Cross functional office experience a plus
Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage 100 experience
