Colliers Engineering & Design is hiring an Electrical Engineering Department Manager - Mission Critical/Data Centers to lead their Buildings Engineering Services team. This role involves overseeing the work of assigned staff, managing operations to ensure quality, and providing technical and management leadership to the team.

Responsibilities

Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products

Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team

Work within a multidisciplinary team

Lead a team of electrical engineers and provide mentorship

Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team

Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals

Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required

Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects

Reviews monthly productivity and labor hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed

Assigns projects to staff and schedules work

Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required

10+ years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer

Experience with Mission Critical/Data Centers

P.E. required

Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees

Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
