Senior Residential AV Technician Level 3

HTS is a rapidly growing business in the residential and commercial custom integration industry, specializing in high-end, custom applications. They are seeking a Senior Residential AV Technician Level 3 to install equipment, program systems, and lead AV projects while mentoring less experienced technicians.

Design

Responsibilities

Provides Project Manager with daily project status updates
Maintains Project documentation on a daily basis
Site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales and Clients
Completes quality control checks using Job Form
Employs project management principles to successfully execute AV projects on-time and within budget
Exhibits professionalism and provides excellent customer service
Acts as a resource for Residential AV technical knowledge
Completes complex, multi-room AV installs, setups and calibration
Control system and theater room installations
Satellite/Cable systems setup
Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems
Advanced networking/data system installs, set up and deployment
Program automation, lighting, shading, surveillance and security systems
Design, populate and wire full-sized equipment racks
Coaches, leads, trains and mentors less experienced Technicians
Complete required training and certifications; maintain certification levels for all position requirements
Adheres and maintains quality standards

Required

Minimum 5 years AV field experience demonstrating proficiency in all of the previously posted job responsibilities for this position
High school diploma or GED
PCNA Certification (or comparable)
Control4 Automation Programmer Certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend system drawings, floor plans, job scopes and instructions
Ability to meet deadlines
Detail-oriented and organized; multi-tasker
Self-motivated, task driven, and able to apply 'best practices' theory
Strong problem-solving skills; creates in the field solutions
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed
Maintains valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
Clean background check
Proficiency using hand and power tools
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to work on ladders, lifts and at high elevations

Preferred

Lutron RA3 Certification preferred but not required
RTI programming proficiency preferred but not required
URC programming proficiency preferred but not required
Savant programming proficiency preferred but not required
