The technician will conduct troubleshooting and repairs on HM&E systems, specifically hydraulics, and maintain auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities
Assess, Train, and assist in the repair of shipboard Auxiliaries equipment, hydraulics, pumps and valves on DC and engineering systems, AC&R equipment with shipboard personnel
Utilizes an "On Hands" approach/ technique specific to the Sailors individual strengths to benefit the Sailor as well as the command
Assisted Ships force in the identification of proper materials and manuals necessary to make repairs to shipboard systems
May provide direction and lead others
May manage one or more multiple job
Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment
Qualification
Required
High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience
Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty
Must have mechanical experience troubleshooting and repairing U.S. Navy Ships
Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS (Base Access)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred
Prefer technical/professional certifications
A current, valid DoD Security Clearance
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration EPA certification is a plus
Prior US Navy experience with Hydraulic experience is a plus
